The Butterfly Salon was established in 2007, shortly after my second son was born. I began my career ten years earlier in 1997, crafting, apprenticing, and building my skills until I decided to take a leap on my own where The Butterfly Salon was born. The name not only comes from my own affinity for butterflies, but my Grandmother’s obsession with them. Growing up, I was close to her and I would often spend time at her house after school. I taught her how to braid my French braid my hair and that became a routine once a week. She would wash my hair in her kitchen sink and then braid my hair as I sat in her yellow carpeted bathroom. She often had butterfly knick knacks on the bathroom sink and everywhere around the house, for that matter. There were butterfly paintings, butterfly jewelry, and butterfly knitted pillows. I, especially, think of her when I see a Solomon’s all white butterfly with black markings. The name is near and dear to my heart, as the business has always taken care of me even during hard times, much like she did. I hold my clients close, as so many of them have become my dearest of friends and we become like family. It’s exciting to think I have so many more of you yet to meet! When you’re my client, you are more than a business transaction. You are precious.

Cancellation Policy

We charge 50% of your service booked the same day as a cancellation fee for a no show or a cancellation under the 24 hour allowance window. We know things come up, and in order to take your time seriously, we need to take our time seriously. Thank you for your understanding in advance.
